We're heading for peal civilizational collapse.
Flynn Effect, Amerika - The Flynn Effect has reversed, and it seems to be reversing IQ gains and going the other direction starting at the top, which means that our theoretically best and brightest are becoming dumber and less insightful. Civilization is in full decline as its highest scorers end up being less capable than those a century ago. The Western quest for equality has ended in a predictable way. Since equality is not natural, nor logical, enforcing it requires penalizing the successful in order to subsidize the unsuccessful. We do this by forcing the intelligent to go through 28 years of education and then working them to death in the absence of meaningful options for starting a family, at which point they start dying out.

I wish we'd stop focusing on IQ. IQ is a test of potential. To be fair, I doubt that human potential has changed that much. Maybe better nutrition and environment leads to healthier brains and the potential increases, but I doubt if it has increased significantly. No, what we do with potential is far more important than the potential itself, and therein lies the problem. Now, if you have a report on someone testing Common Sense, I'd be interested...

I agree with you and let me explain. The killer of Versace supposedly had an IQ of 147. We had a Mensa member who killed most of a family. I worked with a Doctor who was a member of Mensa, very smart, nice lady. Sadly she committed suicide. The world is full of geniuses that never lived up to their potential.
