I am really surprised my mother was able to come in from Honduras. My aunt and her friend were able to come in as well from Honduras. All three were single women in their twenties. Only my mother had a bachelor's degree. The quotas must have changed because years later, you had to have been married to an American citizen to become a resident alien. All three came in on their own and all three had applied to the American Embassy in Honduras.

The lottery system that President Trump discussed has been around for decades. Each country is allowed a certain number of people and it's a lottery.

LTC Greg Henning Personal Humor Involved: How 12 Year Old Male Wilhelm Henry Wesling Farmers Son from Germany became (At Least on All Official Documentation, Straightened Out Later) Willie Wesling Female Seamstress. His Older Brother did a "Chain Migration" No More Male German Farmers and Butchers being allowed in but there was a Need for Seamstresses and Female workers for the Clothing Factories. Respectfully Wilhelm Wesling Nagel His Great Grandson. I Guess You Could Call Great Grandpa a Transvestite of Sorts. LOL!
