If I ever get to do a resotmod it will be a 1970 Dart with a crate Hellcat engine and the graphics will be the Tasmanian Devil (what dodge wanted to do in the 70s).
I had a Epiphany the other day. Lets say the Muscle care era started in 63 and maybe lasted till 72. Now compare that to the modern muscle car era. Lets argue that started with the Challenger in 08, (poster attached for effect). So now in 2018 with the C8 Mid-engine Corvette on the horizon, the Demon in production this shows no sign of letting up. So here are the big reasons why I think the modern muscle car era will be the greatest of all time:
1. Time frame, we are already past ten years and going strong
2. Amenities, modern cars are so cool, my Challengers have 900 watt 19 speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, GPS navigation, hands free phones, WiFi, etc. Compared to a Dart they are like the Caddys back then.
3. For all the power the gas millage is not that bad, I get around 19 when I am not racing
4. You can get a hellcat soccer mom van (the brotherhood of muscle)
5. Technology continues to evolve to provide better performance and handling
6. Add to what the manufactures are doing the aftermarket garages are much more prolific, back in the day you had Yanco and Hurst that was about it.
7. Then through in there the OEM and restomod garages bringing back the best of the 60-70s
8. Cooler comercials
