Often reminds me of WWF Studio Wrestling in its heyday.

Excerpts: Manafort’s legal team alleges the deputy attorney general went beyond his "authority to appoint a special council as well as specific restrictions on the scope of such appointments."

Manafort alleges he’s been "injured" by the investigation, causing him "significant reputational harm, has exposed him to invasions of his personal privacy, and has forced him to incur substantial costs and expenses to defend himself."

it will be interesting to see where this goes, arguably he does have a point, and it will be interesting to see if the special prosecution has free reign or is limited in scope of a operational battlefield so to speak.

I understand there are more charges coming his way and the property he put up as bond isn't his. They need to find a more structured environment for him. One where he can be isolated

I will not challenge the mans service to his country. He has proven his courage on the battlefield by his record of service. But I am still at a loss to explain the tactics used against Paul Manafort. You raided his home were there for numerous hours and all you get him on is lying to the FBI!

Interesting tactic. I am not sure there is a precedent for this. Suing a special prosecutor for going outside the mandate of his office. I think special counsels have the latitude to pursue any crime they find in pursuit of their investigation. We will see if this gets past the first judge. I am not sure it will but it will be more political and legal intrigue to watch.
