Sounds good in theory, not!! For law abiding citizens this could be seen as one more step to total disarmament..for criminals, if they want guns they will get guns..very disappointing from my home state..

SPC David Willis - Perfect example on the stupidity of this law. The effect does nothing to prevent or reduce crime, just makes it more difficult for law abiding citizens. Concerning reloading California is trying to go after that too, they banned the sale of reloading powder a few years ago, thankfully that was overturned. Primers are already on the chopping block. They'll try and do whatever they can until guns are confiscated there.

As a retired LEO from California, I have to laugh at yet another set of silly laws from Sacramento. It looks good for their liberal base, but will not really be enforced. The reason is that the California DOJ Bureau of Firearms is already severely understaffed. When they created these new laws, they did not add any money or staffing to Cal DOJ to actually enforce the laws. In fact, over the years they have reduced their manning. Local law enforcement does not have the will, funding, or staffing to enforce them either. Over the last few years, Gov. Brown has shifted state responsibility to the counties, however he did not add state money to the already cash strapped counties. The county probation officers are already overwhelmed supervising State parolees. The backlog of cases caused by this law will be tremendous and anyone caught will be caught purely by accident.
The biggest negative impact on law abiding citizens is the ammo restrictions. However, there is nothing to stop folks from driving to Nevada or Arizona and pick up a couple hundred rounds of their favorite ammo.
The silliness in California is mind boggling sometimes.

Good (and bad!) post MSgt Cayle Harris. Terrible news for legal gun owners. The ammo restrictions are almost as bad as the gun restrictions.
