The guy appears to have a legitimate background in campaign finance and election law - maybe some expertise in government administration - but it would be very challenging and frustrating for everyone involved if he were to be appointed as a federal judge with no federal criminal and/or civil trial experience to assist in managing the bench component of federal criminal and/or civil trials. The administration should do a better job of vetting candidates for positions of high responsibility. Warmest Regards, Sandy :)

Nice to see the vetting process work, that's what its there for not political grand standing as it seems to always be used. This guy had all the skills on paper but when sat down he couldn't muster them. Must be a cracker jack of a résumé writer lol. This is WHY we have this process and I'm glad they caught a bad pick and are now looking for a qualified person lol.

SSgt Ray Stone - So did Pot head Obama what's your point? You cant get it right 100% of the time. He trusted his people this one slipped through and was stopped by the system that was set to keep unqualified people out. Good job win for the system.

There is no filter system. This man withdrew because he should, and I applaud him for it, but if you think the current administration wouldn't have forced through his appointment you're mistaken.
