My records are currently before the Army review board.
I served from 1976-88, and was recalled for Operation Desert Storm in 1991as a M2F Transsexual. I hadn't had my final surgery yet, and because of the disruption of having to return to military duty it delayed me 18 months.
I sacrificed a lot to serve my country, only to find that my service was not credited and all of my Reserve retirement points stricken. Thus I was cheated out of my Reserve Retirement Pension which I would have begun receiving at age 60.
When people say we're mentally unfit to serve, my reply is that we already have, in peace and War.
