The internet survived for decades before the Obama administration saved it from itself. This will not hurt anyone or anything. It allows free market principles to apply more freely. We don't nee government regulating the internet or telling companies how they should or should not operate/compete etc. The government has no track record of success is managing much of anything.
These rules have been in place for about 2 years. I bet 99% of the people up in arms cannot point to a single thing they made better or that will be made worse by their repeal.

"Not only is the FCC eliminating basic net neutrality rules, but it's joining forces with the FTC to say it will only act when a broadband provider is deceiving the public," Chris Lewis, VP at Public Knowledge, a nonprofit that focuses on the open internet, said in a statement this week. "This gives free reign to broadband providers to block or throttle your broadband service as long as they inform you of it."
This statement is unadulterated junk. Why? Because they (the content AND service providers) do this already; especially if you are on cable (coax). Kind of funny that most younger people have no clue as to what a telecommunication party line is, what multiplexing is, nor do they know or understand that their cell phone is not a phone at all but a radio transceiver.
And as to whom is deceiving the public, well it is most of the public themselves that are purposely unaware and are deceiving themselves through lack of knowledge or ignorance, take your pick.
