Beretta did that too for the M-92, and it was a gold mine to the company...Guess Sig wants to take advantage of that popularity in the civilian market that Barrett got so rich off of!

In general, this is true of all sidearms chosen by the military, as well as civilian law enforcement.

TSgt Larry Johnson - When I was the county Sheriff I carried a Barretta Model 96 in .40 S&W. But the State troopers were all carrying Sigs in 40 S&W.
