I can't judge what happened, but personally I would leave it to the court, the judge, and to the jury.

SFC (Join to see) - Because no one has ever hidden a weapon in their shorts right? Exactly where he was reaching.

When you can tell me that cops have x-ray vision to see inside someone's waistband, that a gun is or is not there, THEN you can make such an erroneous comment as you just made SFC ??? (On my computer, it comes up 'Verify to See', fake account maybe?).
In EVERY situation, if a perp is reaching into his waistband, after repeatedly being told not to, then the official reaction, trained into the police, is shoot. Period.
Basically, you are saying that Police Officers should not follow their training?!?
I think you're running on a fake account because no senior non com I have EVER seen would advise for people to not follow their training?

Agreed with your assessment. If he was fired for not following procedure, and that failure to follow procedure led to the death of an unarmed man, he should be held criminally liable. Even if he never intended to take someone's life, his actions caused just that.

Not at all. Near as I can tell, from watching the tape the times I did (3 I think) it was his comments on tape that he made that led to his dismissal. It shows a level of excitement on the part of the officer, and he should have been concentrating on the mission, not making inappropriate comments. That said, when he had the suspect who finally got on the floor after being told to do so several times, the suspect then reached behind him, as if reaching for a weapon in his waistband. At that point, it was the officer's responsibility to react the way he was trained, and to shoot the suspect, which he did at that point.
