The IoT Attacks Everyone Should Know About

The IoT seem to have started with little to know security. I am guessing that when Samsung came up with the idea of connecting a refrigerator to the Internet they didn't figure anyone would care about how much milk anyone would have or whether or not the strawberries had started to mold. Probably no one does care, but the miscreants have found a way to harness the processor power in these devices for evil. As the article points out, the zombie devices launching DDOS attacks have taken down some major players on the Internet.

I'd like to see a more secure home router/modem developed that would protect the home network from these attacks/vulnerabilities.
