Exclusive: Consortium offers Canada a deal on a new fleet of frigates that could save $32 billion...

Canada has had a debate with building replacement frigates for over a decade. The conservatives and liberals can never agree on anything.

Stupid Global warming and climate change as well as Health Care are more important(since it is free for everyone including me!) but I think there could possibly be some Payola involved because they're saying that the ship building program will be 64 billion dollars yet a European ship building company can do it for half price and politicians and some companies are saying it's not doable. In the meantime, the old and small Canadian Navy keeps shrinking as ships keep rusting out, catch fire or become un-serviceable.

For all you Navy people here, do you see the value of this kind of frigate that's already been sold to a few navies around the world? Or should it be business as usual in bicker about Canada first while there Navy keeps falling apart? What would happen if our u.s. Navy wanted to buy a few of those frigates at a guaranteed price, would we have a sheist storm of controversy from the American shipyards even if there was some local offset of major parts and development in the USA? Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a new ship instead of rebuilding some of the old ones that we have in the stored at Reserve Navy locations in Philadelphia, Pearl Harbor, San Diego and and up the Sacramento River?
