Of course the Washington Post which locally in DC is chided as the Washington Compost would have a headline from the editorial staff that the GOP authored which compromised with the democrats would "want to kick the middle class in the face" as we all recognize if the progressive/liberals had their way it would "want to kick the wealthy in the face." :-)

SFC Thomas Butler - Thank you for proving my point. Why do corporations move their operations overseas? (You say "allow" as if the government has the option of not allowing it.) In large part because of the tax structure. We are basically chasing away companies with high taxes. How to get those companies back? Lower the tax rates, and resist the impulse to penalize those companies for moving overseas in the first place.
Lower taxes, simplify the tax code so there are fewer exemptions and loopholes, and the economy is going grow even more.

SSgt Christopher Brose - They’re not moving their operations overseas, only their profits, made from the American taxpayer. And the government absolutely has the option of making such transfers illegal if the intent is to avoid making that income taxable. Bottom line, if the profits are made in our country, they need to stay here and be taxed.

SFC Thomas Butler - There's no way to determine the intent if a company has a legitimate, business-related presence in another country. And moving money offshore for the sole purpose of not paying taxes is already illegal.
