They have also done some good. People will have to decide if the good outweighs the bad. I wasn't directly affected by any of their discoveries, but the Wells Fargo scam of opening accounts for people without their authorization is pretty bad. Maybe they would have been discovered without the CFPB.

I am at a loss when the supposed experts in financial management use 12 million a year to rent an office building. Then it gets better. They project to spend up to 125 million on building renovations on a building that the government does not even own. Is that even legal?

LTC (Join to see) - Thanks for sharing it. I will read more about it, but at face value it doesn't look good. I don't know anything about the legalities of it. GSA is the US landlord and maintains all the infrastructure, vehicles etc. I'm sure there are laws or policies pertaining to improvements, because much of the space they use is by lease. If they are breaking the law it needs to stop. Congressional oversight is the logical first step.
