It is time for veterans worldwide to run for political office and seize control of their country.
The ruling Elite of all parties are corrupt, they are evil beyond human comprehension and are leading us to ruin. War is their coin, but we pay the butcher's bill.

Put a person in a position of power and there’s an appreciable chance he or she (most of the allegations so far have been against men) will sexually impose on someone—male or female, above or below the age of consent—with less power. The scandals shine a light on the prevalence of such predation. There’s no reason to think that future revelations won’t work their way through virtually every corner of American life. Non-consensual sex and, beyond a certain point, unwanted advances are unacceptable and must lead to civil and criminal liability, especially in those situations in which the perpetrator has power over the victim."

It is expensive to get a seat. Then you are beholden to the folks who helped you get it. Thus the cycle starts. How about a jungle primary every time there is a reelection. Give voters a lot of choices.

Sorry, but military personnel, and particularly senior military personnel hardly have set the example for not engaging in sexual misconduct and have a history making it difficult for the victims to have their accusations fairly addressed.

SSG Diane R. - I agree. I had a female soldier work for me once who was a 71C (I believe) which was a small MOS where they provided admin support specifically for general officers. She was very attractive and athletic, as well as an accomplished civilian skydiver. She had worked for many generals and accompanied them on businees TDys. Unfortunately, she had numerous stories of the GOs making improper advances on her. And this was over 20 years ago, long before there was any real structure for or emphasis on reporting this type of thing. It's easy now to look back and say "well, she just should have reported it" but when you are an E4 or SGT and your boss is a 2-star general, there is such a mismatch in perceived power and authority that it can be quite intimidating.
