Chinese people describe the US in one word

Very positive. You gotta wonder if Chinese handlers influenced the discussion.

I've learned much about China recently and was surprised to see the resurgence of the old traditions, the ones that Mao worked so hard to eradicate. There are several excellent documentaries that I could recommend. Start with "China: New Empire"

What bothers me about China; is the pact between Russia and North Korea. If one is attacked the other two is duty bound to respond. It is called a marriage agreement between three partners. That is why China and Russia came to the aid of North Korea aid in 1953 and caught us off guard. Could that happen again?.
