Except Franken was caught red-handed, Moore was not. Not defending Moore, just pointing out the circumstances are different. There is a difference between accusations and proof. There is no way Franken can explain his way out of that photo. I become skeptical when accusations from 30 years ago all of a sudden become a thing during a political election, regardless of the party. Why now? Because we can't have a sexual predator in the US Senate? But it's ok as long as he is just a judge? Where were all these women during the primary? I bet Luther Strange is asking that question.

SSG (Join to see) - I'm not a lawyer, but it seems to me that she went fully public with it, presenting it as evidence that her target is guilty of lying in an attempt to change the outcome of an election. If she was involved in fabricating that evidence, then I think she opens herself up to charges of defamation or legal malpractice or worse. If she were to use it in any situation under oath, it could constitute perjury or suborning perjury.

take a hint guy, I don't think she would do anything to be linked fabricating (if fabricated at all) evidence, that's why some nameless person does it so it doesn't come back to bite you.

Capt Gregory Prickett - "statements of individuals are evidence. In the legal field, we call them "witnesses" and we allow a jury to determine their credibility and truthfulness." Unfortunately, neither Roy Moore or these alleged victims will see their day in court. It is up to the voters to decide.

Funny how lots of the people on here talking about "no proof" and "30 years ago" were all ready to convict Bill Cosby on exactly the same evidence. I wonder why that is.....

Ted Bundy's neighbors found him to be charming - still doesn't mean he didn't kill 36 women.

I understand that. My first husband was that guy who could be friends with everyone. Probably why no one believed me when I finally told someone that he had a habit of hitting me.

In Franken's case, I'd argue that there's no pattern of behavior. Yet.

I think that's flawed logic - how many times does he have to sexual harass someone before its wrong - seems like once is enough.

It's wrong the very first time. However, not all sexual misconduct is equal, and the victim is satisfied with the proposed resolution.

One bad deed can spoil a lifetime of good... like a teaspoon of feces can run a gourmet dinner.

Capt Gregory Prickett I still made it to SSG, so I guess it wasn't all bad.
