Always thought this was the work of H.P. Lovecraft - The Call of Cthulhu. Three part book with R'lyeh coming to light in the last story "The Madness From the Sea".

I did see those references, however, what interested !e was that the same concept of space time distortion has been theorized, I'd read, as occurring in thunderstorms, either due to electric field effects, or generation of positron antimatter stemming from, or related to, terrestrial gamma-ray flashes (TGFs), that was what caught my interest. I hadn't heard the story before seeingnthe article, though I did see the references to Lovecraft in researching the topic further, of course.

A while back NASA confirmed the space-time around Earth appears to be distorted just as general relativity predicts. Is was a very clever experiment. As well there is a lot of theory out there that as well pointing at gravity waves triggering earth quakes. The curvature in space-time is determined by the stress-energy tensor. Mass (or more precisely energy density) contributes to this, however so does momentum density, shear stress and pressure. Seems if you have enough energy and can accelerate it fast enough this will distort space-time.

I've developed a theory about the topic discussed here, I'd be eager for any thoughts, if possible. I think there's actually some truth involved here, even if the references might perhaps seem a trifle cryptic and obscure. I think there might actually be a fairly serious physical basis for a good deal of what's presented, though explaining why, if any of you might be interested, would obviously take some time for me to try to explain, many thanks.
