I am not a Dr, but I don't think that his CTE brain damage was a contributing factor to the murders he committed. He was a gang thug from early in High School. What is sad, though, is that he had that much damage in such a short career...

In reading about Hernandez, LT Brad McInnis, it seems like in his earlier life, he was able to dodge as many bullets as he allegedly fired. His murder conviction simply appears to be like some karma-esque event that reached back to encompass all those previous crimes that went unpunished.
