Personally one election at the local level be it Virginia or the special election in Georgia is what it is local politics. Not sure there are too many implications nationally. But both sides will praise their victories and down play their loses, pretty soon the media will be looking at our county elections looking for a meaning.

This is fun. Special election in Atlanta was a mandate on Trump, Demes lost, there were two or three others Dems lost. Christie’s antics made him unpopular. In the off season the party in power loses. We will see. Obama lost the House and Senate and the liberal media wasn’t talking about it being a mandate against Obama’s policies. Obama had no coat tails and left the Democratic Party broke. What was the significance of that’s?

I do not remember there ever being any significance to the anniversary of an election victory. Sort of like a side comment during a baseball game, "year ago today the Cardinals realized that everyone hates them, now back to the game".
