Army discovers way for soldiers to use their urine to power electronic devices

Beautiful!! The bi-products of a fuel cell are heat and chemically pure water. Both of those "incidentals" may be in as great a demand as the electricity produced.

Now this is recycling with a purpose. Did you know that urine also contains potassium nitrate, a key element in the manufacture of gunpowder? During the Civil War, the South was strapped for resources and extracted that element to help keep their armies in the fight.

They are doing this in Africa... nice to see we have caught up.
