Yes Manafort was working with the Podesta group as well as Murcury during the time frame he is accused of breaking the law. Podesta Group did not disclose some contacts it had between 2012 and 2014 as well with Vice President Joe Biden's office, the National Security Council and Congressional offices, the records show. The Groups claims no filing was necessary but many legal advisers for lobbyist say otherwise.

In the two weeks before and after Ukraine's election, the firm had near-daily contact with the State Department, holding seven meetings, conducting "outreach" on seven days and having conversations or email exchanges on 11 days, including with top department officials. The Podesta Group also had contact with the National Security Council on seven days in that same period.

So not surprised by the allegations of Russians. Seems the Podesta Group might have protested to much. However looks like most of the crimes occurred during Obama's second term involving some of his top people. Only guy that looks to connect Trump is George Papadopoulos.
