I won't say it gets everything right, but if you want a way to get a first hand feel for some of what some forms of mental illness is like, there is a game called Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. It is 30 bucks on steam and...I won't say it has the right answers but it will get you to ask some of the right questions.

SGT (Join to see) - Hellblade is awesome. I played it at a friend's house. It totally freaked me out a couple of times. AA Joseph Moody The developers actually brought in experts and people who suffer from Schizophrenia and other mental illnesses to help them make the game as accurate as they could.
