I'd like to see this gain traction. If it really does weigh less and is cooler than the IOTV, then I think they should implement it. Would definitely help with weight.

Looks better than the old flake jackets we used during riot control training.

When I joined the Army we still had the Vietnam era flack jackets. Cool looking but nearly useless as far as protection and ability to carry stuff.

The plate carrier I was issued was 7 pounds lighter (ballpark) than the IOTV. Which made it much cooler to work in, especially paired with a combat shirt. This new vest just sounds like re inventing the wheel.

Anything that reduces weight in the field is a good thing,because as some us know "Mr Rucksack " is always waiting in the wings!
