Perhaps? I’d need more info. Then again, civics had not been taught routinely, in many school systems, for two decades. I suspect a naturalized citizen knows more about how this, then many natural born citizens. As a private institution they have the right to set their own requirements.

I wonder if "cramming" patriotism down the throats of very impressionable college students may, in time, have an opposite effect. If an American, naturalized or native, especially those who are native born, must be force-fed loyalty to, presumably, instill a higher degree of patriotic fervor...I think that loyalty may exist upon a very tenuous foundation. IMHO.
