Thank-you for sharing such a good story. Malmstrom Base can feel like purgatory to some airmen who are used to sunny, warm places. General Goldfein illustrated service before self in providing information to the young airman concerning his family. Everyone can relate to the soul-numbing panic a person can endure while not knowing the fate of a loved one. Airman Soto-Gonzalez needed to know what happened to his family after the recent hurricanes and Gen. Goldfein made conversations with family happen.
