Sounds like a shady operator. He should have been up front with them, instead of being a sneak thief.

Without preaching, what could the manufacturer possibly do with the marker except destroy it. Personally, I would be too terrified to disrespect anyone's memory in that manner; :0( a terminally ill child :0(
