He already knows he'll never see outside the USDB again. He plead to avoid the Death Penalty.

He begged Obama for a pardon - but Obama's contempt for the military out weighed Bergdahl's release being the justification in freeing 5 terrorist from GITMO. Obama used him - no pardon.

Guarantee the next president of the Democratic party will pardon him. If not, 10-15 years in Leavenworth.
