Evil can be insane, as in the case of that German monster, as well as all his cronies and cohorts, that's a given. Unfortunately, it can, as I've mentioned elsewhere on here before, also be intelligent. In the case of that German monster, that "thing", as I generally refer to it, when I refer to " it" at all, was clearly all three, even if his cohorts and/or cronies tended to refer to "its" mind as being given to intuition. There's an excellent bio on that monster by John Toland, wherein is discussed, I recall, as I'd read elsewhere, that "it" has, unfortunately, a photographic memory, among other unfortunate 'gifts". Further, those cohorts and cronies, similarly, weren't stupid; they knew perfectly well that, apart from the Romans, and the Norman conquest, in 1066 AD, under William the Conqueror, which I'd seen an excellent documentary on awhile back, I'll try to find it, that trying to conquer that island had generally proven nearly impossible. Spain had tried under Phillip Ii during he time of Elizabeth I, and the Spanish Armada had been quite literally trashed. Then, Napoleon I had tried, and gotten himself good and beaten by Nelson at Trafalgar. Pretty much similar things had happened during WWi also that whole island had been bombed by Germany using dirigibles, zero, zilch, nada, goose egg. Now, fortuitously, also, apart from being geographically isolated from the rest of Europe, there was Churchill, who was also, I'd read, a distant cousin of both FDR and MacArthur, that was mentioned in american Caesar by William Manchester. Those German monsters knew quite well that ifthey tried to invade, that FDR would've found some way to help and stave off the conquest. Lend Lease aside, there was no way that FDR was going to let Britain fall during WW2, he was a patrician, everyone knew it, incl. those German monster morons. I don't deny the validity of the video, I don't deny the logistic problems, I don't deny that the Luftwaffe, thankfully, couldn't outdo the RAF. There was also the Chain Home radar system developed under Sir Robert Watson-Watt; that was why, when the magnetron was initially brought to the US to be aided in analysis and further development in the US, it was hailed, historically, I'd read ,as one of, if not the, single most valuable cargo to ever reach the shores of the US, for all practical intents and purposes. All those contributed to why it never happened. However, also, for all his numerous personal bon vivant foibles, Churchill was a very seriously trained professional soldier; occasionally, he and Mountbatten, who was also very real, and really knew what he was doing as well, and King George VI, who was also no fool, were a very formidable combination, until the arrival of Gens. Eisenhower, Bradley, Patron, Hoge, Eaker, and all the rest of SHAEF after Pearl Harbor. The video is correct, those German monsters wanted it, that's clear; however, no way was FDR going to let them have that place, it was never going to happen. There was also an interesting documentary I'd seen, about exactly how the blitzkrieg of Europe was really done; the Germans, as turned out, I'll try to find the documentary, were all jacked up on pervitin, an opiate that was mass-produced, and was found in the cockpit, apparently, wrapped in some sort of gold foil, I'm the kit of a German pilot or aircrew member, in a downed fighter, I think, or bomber. The blitzkrieg of Europe wasn't accomplished by genius, it was accomplished by an army, I'd seen in that documentary, of total, complete, drug addicts, who were able to drive themselves beyond any normal nphuman exhaustion by the drug. The documentary also recounts that, at El Alamein, the troops under Mongptgomery, apparently, had also been given a safer, more well-researched, other stimulant, that similarly let them function just as well as the Germans, better, in fact, which is one of the very real reasons North Africa was won by the Allies, denying the German the oil that was there, which was the whole reason for the air raids on Ploesti in Romania later on, as well. I know I'd seen that documentary, I do think it went into that the Luftwaffe aircrews were all using pervitin, though I don't know if the RAF aircrews had been given the safer alternative drug at that point. However, as I'd said, I'm quite certain FDR had Gen Marshall, Adm King, War Secy Stimson, and Navy Secy Knox do everything humanly possible to get Churchill as much Lend Lease material as possible, until Pearl Harbor finally happened, untying FDR:s hands, I hope that was of at least some interest, I'd be most eager for any thoughts, many thanks.
