Exclusive: Former West Point professor’s letter exposes corruption, cheating and failing...

I'm not sure what to make of retired Lieutenant Colonel Robert Heffington's letter ... or Caslen's response emailed out from West Point yesterday addressed to "To the Men and Women of the Long Gray Line." The disrespect by cadets of commissioned officers referenced in Heffington's letter is absolutely foreign to me ... both as a cadet (68 - 72) and as a member for 3 years of the Staff & Faculty at West Point in the early 80s. I will be listening attentively to see whether other West Point faculty support Heffington's version of the state of affairs at West Point. Until then, I'm reserving judgement.

Really surprising. I am honestly curious as to why any military academy would tolerate behavior as described. Failing multiple courses, plagiarizing.....hell, the VA would probably stop remitting post 9/11 GI bill payments if they caught wind of that crap.

West point has been the joke of the army for years so this isnt really surprising
