Is it a virus going around where all the services think they have to constantly change uniforms or does the Army have a bad case of McPeak?

70 % of the Army can't be wrong... the comments are in and its a 70% approval rating for the design. Looking professional in a service uniform is good thing. Currently the Army looks like its on the way to a Dining In 24/7. The history of the design can't be challenged and its time to get soldiers and airmen who work in the headquarters and not engaged in combat out of their camo and back to a professional appearance worthy of the fighting force they truly are. Just as a side note you know the this was also the uniform of the US Army Air Corps so... maybe the USAF might like to give it go... just say'in!

I am a Marine so I have no dog in this fight. But will this proposed uniform actually be worn often enough to justify its adaption? Today's Army has blues for dress and service, and fatigues for everything else. In reality, the blues are seldom seen and the fatigues are worn for everything, including office wear. Will the new pinks and greens uniform change anything? Oh, when pinks and greens were originally worn during the WWII era, weren't they an officer-only uniform?
I must say that much the same situation exists in the Marines - utilities have become the de facto "uniform of the day" and blues and greens are seldom seen. My question is, if the uniform is not going to be worn, why have it? That would apply to the proposed Army pinks and greens service uniform.

If you are accurately looking at WWII uniform history, this uniform the "Pinks and Greens" were Officer Uniforms. Enlisted during that time wore Greens and/or Khakis. Sorry SMA.

Right Chief! (Can we still say chief? It was just determined it was cultural appropriation and disparaging of Native Americans— but I digress) Have spoken to the folks showing the proto’s it not intended to replicate WWII uniforms faithfully... it’s a historical theme with updated applications. Thanks for your comments!
