So with such a headline it would be nice to see the actual ad in question; I wouldn't call this fake news since we know trolling and fake profiles on social media do happen. It's just a matter of whether it's foreign trolls or domestic trolls intentionally trying to stir the pot in our culture.
Remember, there has to already be a problem in order to stir the problem with fake rhetoric.

LTC (Join to see) - Well when you see an example of that I would enjoy reading it. But current IO campaigns by any group or government clearly target existing socio-economic-culture-government issues. Poking the bear as one could say.

MAJ James Woods - My thoughts exactly! So many other times, when a news outlet reports something as offensive, they'll show the thing they're reporting on, or a redacted version of it. In this case, a black woman firing a rifle is supposed to provoke racial tension? How? My first thought is more likely to be that it's sexy, not racially inflammatory. Perhaps I would understand their point better if they'd show the actual ad... but then again, perhaps I'd just think the people at CBS and WaPo are idiots if they showed the ad and it wasn't as inflammatory as they claim.

CPL Joy Downs Hart - Are you an idiot? Pay attention to the context. CBS reported that some Russians bought Facebook ads depicting a black woman firing a rifle "to provoke racial tension." Personally, I think it's just as likely that CBS's view is skewed, and they are the ones trying to foment racial tensions in their reporting. But regardless of who might be trying to provoke racial tensions, I don't think a black woman with a gun is going to do it. Any 2A supporter is going to support her, conservatives don't give a shit about color, and the racial bean counters on the left aren't likely to criticize a black woman. So they failed.
And yes, without even seeing any pictures, it's far more likely that I'll think the lady is sexy firing a rifle than that I'll think she's some kind of racial threat or whatever. I think women with guns are sexy, and I'm not going to apologize for that. And if your're the type of person that gets offended at that, then fine. Be offended. I don't care.

All ads are "fake News" . They are trying to sell something. Ads appearing as news have been around for ever. So exactly how are ads considered news! I applaud black people that buy guns for defense. One of the problems in Chicago is honest citizens can't get weapons to defend themselves, they are at the mercy of the criminals. Hillary in jail? LOL, there are a lot of people that think that is where she belongs. Fake news was the alphabet soup news media having lawyers on saying missing handling classified material isn't a crime.
