No surprise that the NYT could not wait to wave the bloody shirt. They follow the philosophy of the mayor of murder-capital Chicago -- "Never let a good crisis go to waste".

It was always "Leftish". 20 years ago it was tolerable Leftish, even sometimes enlightening Leftish. Now it's radical, off-the-wall, gonzo Left.

I would prefer journalist especially Op-Ed contributors wait for all the facts and motivations of an incident before writing about political expectations and consequences as result of the incidents. I will say I am for emphasis of collection of data, research and monitoring at the national level to develop trend analysis for all these domestic/homegrown incidents that are not associated with foreign terrorism. Enough of the "lone wolf" and "isolated incident" analogies.

Very valid point. Sometimes I think they use the "lone wolf" analogy because they have no idea what else to say was a motivating factor.
