Just like any job; you have the good and you have the bad......... but I can believe or relate to what the guy is saying. I've been stopped by the police so many times that I stopped counting. The reason for contact ranged from minor infraction to driving a car with out of state plates down a major drug supply line. I can tell you from experience that there are more good than bad cops out there. I can also tell you, there will only be 2 outcomes; positive or negative. All depends on the people involved. To be honest, most veteran cops rather eat doughnuts and twittle their thumbs during their shift than to harass or use escalation of force against people unless necessary regardless if armed or not.

SMSgt Minister Gerald A. "Doc" Thomas I agree with your response and the part about how data can reflect what the writer believes. My experience is in have only 1 child and a sin at that. I raised him as a single mother. He has no criminal record or any children (I do wish his blessed wife will find him soon), he is a good son and a good person. Issues happened, I was the bad cop, bad cop. High School - those kids are selling drugs, robbing, and stealing, I will put you in jail before the grave takes you or you get tagged a life long criminal; those friends have got to go - COLLEGE - i lived on campus! He was informed by helpful friends that he was no longer under my thumb of control. All hell let loose because I promised him I would put him in the grave and advised him to tell his new found friends that. We made it through his young life not being ruined. So back in June 2017 he was stopped for speeding 21 miles over the speed limit in a seriously redneck small town after dark. He did not tell me about the ticket. I accidentally found letters from attorneys advertising to handle his case for the September docket. After the initial shock of all this, I directed him to all of the publicity surrounding black males being shot in cold blood by law enforecment.
My son is a big man. I pray for my son and light white candles for him consistently. If any black man, on that evening, was going to be killed in cold blood, it would have been my only child. So I agree, there should be diverse focus groups talking intelligently about this issue, brainstorming and comparing incidents to try to determine what is behind "hair trigger" shootings. I am not prepared to say "race" is not a factor because it and other elements are factors. But, what is causing the fear, suspicion, bias, hatred/dislike? Find the core.

Yes, very true. Thank you very much! I just feel that the NFL is not a political platform for crap like this when the NFL is supposed to be there for us to enjoy ourselves and watch a good game. Social justice Warriors think otherwise so I say let's boycott the bums. One staff sergeant rallypoint thinks that I am being unfair to those who protest on one knee. I hope the NFL on those unpatriotic and self-centered idiot players will be praying on one knee that we come back and watch the NFL so they get their advertising, ratings and endorsements back. I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon so to hell with the NFL and go CFL!
By the way, don't buy into the buy American as far as the NFL. Canada is the largest trading partner for 32 of the 50 states. I would say 40% of the CFL is made up of NFL alumni including your much respected Flutie! So check with your local cable company for getting your NFL bundle removed and replacing it with a CFL bundle!https://youtu.be/YBY_p8m-tok

In your post you talk about the statistics of those killed by cops. I remember when my dad was alive prior to 2002 that when we saw a chase scene on the freeway were illegal aliens were throwing debris from the back of their pickup truck doing 75 80 90 miles an hour on the freeway then finally stopping and the illegals all running away, I remember the cops running and hitting a couple of those people. You have to understand that the cops are all wound up after chasing people for miles and it's tough for these police to sometimes behave after the if their life has been threatened with debris thrown at their police vehicle. It is not a perfect world but they should have not have broken the law. Adrenaline rushes happen and sometimes people get hurt. It's a catch-22 it seems. But this should not give Kaepernick the status of a full Karo by going down on one knee. That's just my opinion and that of my father who was retired Deputy Sheriff before dying of cancer in 2002.
