I remember saving box tops to be able to get prizes. Later cereal companies changed that to those little proof of purchase squares printed on the bottom. While more efficient, they just didn't seem the same to a little kid saving them up.

You and me both sir. I can’t count how many decoding devises, Tony the Tiger Cups, and stuff like that I sent for over the years of my youth. It was a good time.
