I think his response if perfect. Once attendance drops low enough the money will dry up and the owners will feel the pinch and therefore so will the players paychecks. If we as Americans have the discipline to stop watching football. That question remains unanswered.

What an idiot...you are going to say bye to the very people who make your salary possible...wow. That is a self inflicted butt kicking if you ask me. You could have been a little more easy in your response and gotten the same message across and it wouldn't be taken as so I don't need you attitude.

He is not the most articulate spokesman for the NFL. But, he is right about one thing - NO LAW IN AMERICA COMPELS ANYONE to attend any event. So if the NFL wants to disrespect the Flag under the guise of the First Amendment - fine. Fans have the same unalienable First Amendment Right to stay home, turn off the NFL, burn NFL Memorabilia and do something else. Karma sucks sometimes. The NFL players wanted to make a statement They made it and now Fans are is making a statement of their own
