Although I'd rather they stay in the locker room than take the field and bring an obvious political protest into sports.

No problem with them staying in the locker room just don't hold it against the former ranger for wanting to stand for the anthem, it obviously means something to him.

While discussing the very misplaced protesting of our national anthem,

Doesn’t someone take a knee or on bended knee when asking for a hand in marriage?

You find 2 main meanings of this physical action;
1) Showing of great respect
2) Attitude of supplication (supplication means begging)

Which one of these 2 meanings do these “professional athletics” want us as a nation to look upon them with when take this physical action ?
