My problem with this (and yes I am a Trump supporter), is that this kneeling thing was dying down as most of these protests do over time. Trump just gave this a shot in the arm and the protests will go on. As it was before, the NFL was hemorrhaging money and would probably have come to a different solution. Jerry Jones said the other day that he won't put up with this on the field. If the players want to do it on their own time, that's fine, but when they are on the field that is his time...

That might be enough to make me a Cowboys fan (something I never thought I'd say).

It would seem that most who have the most appreciate it the least. Disrespecting our nation and it's symbols is a 1st amendment right, but our reaction is also our right. Actions have consequences. What is it that is the end game for these activities that is taking away one of the few things that we all love as citizens. We just had a president that is black elected twice, most of our kids sports idols are black, special categories for those of color in colleges, most of the music entertainers that our kids listen to are black, what the heck is being demanded, in addition to what we are doing or about to do is wanted? It is hard to hit a moving target.

Say it with me, every American - including athletes- is entitled to first amendment rights.

Yes but it also means good law-abiding citizens and racist white trash will get offended and they will turn the channel or turn off the TV and spend more time with their kids hurting both the players and the sports leagues. Some may not turn the TV off some may put on their Xbox or Playstation football and have fun with their kids or put on Netflix instead of seeing it is like Kaepernick walk away from a contract then go crying to the n-double-acp because he can't get any work or endorsements! I am not racist but I'm not a fan of sports as it is and I have no sympathy for the spoiled brats. Look what they did in London! The English or laughing at us and saying what the hell is wrong with you Americans? It's funny a lot of racist people help Donald Trump come into power even though he is not as racist as you think but there are a lot of racist sports fans who will turn off the channel or will walk out of the game because of this. Lot of brain-dead race this out there but they will vote with their feet and the nfl-afl NBA and the MLB are going to suffer over this. Yes, ticket prices will go down. This is not SEIU and even with their Union, the owners can still fire them and if they don't get endorsements because they're a holes on and off the field, it's going to hurt their pocketbook and you'll be making regular hourly or salary jobs at making under $6,000 a month instead of 60 or $100,000 a game. I laugh at their cockiness.

"They" didn't already say they weren't going, only Curry already said it, and it was only his invitation that was rescinded. It wasn't until after that that "they" said they weren't going.

SFC (Join to see) If the athletes had any class, they would have quietly told Trump they weren't coming. But they decided to make it an issue by announcing it to the World. Since they did that, Trump was right in what he did.
