Transgender veterans build community in Kansas

In Kansas, as in many places in the country this is desperately needed. It is true for many transgender people that to transition and survive means losing everything and everyone in their lives. But to not transition often means death or continuous suffering. It is awesome that these women have found a way to serve the community.

In advertising themselves as "transgender veterans" I wonder if they understand they are supporting iilegal human experimentation on both the veteran and active duty population of people better referred to as transsexual when used in its proper context?
At every VA that I have heard of there are veterans that reject the word transgender and want nothing to do with those who call themselves transgender.
We don't want our individual trampled on lgbt activist and a VA that panders to them.
Look at the active duty population. If they allow themselves to be called transgender they could come out and be treated all the way through sex reassignment surgery.
The VA does not get covered surgery.
That makes two groups those with access to surgery and those.
That makes two distinct groups for researchers to monitor through the electronic records.
Also the person stated they felt like a lesbian trapped in a mans body? I have met tons of heterosexual men that say the same thing!
