I'm going to update my opinion slightly after I talked with a Veteran Brewer Buddy, that is to say he is a Veteran and a Veteran Brewer. Also keep your eyes open for Fulbrook Ale Works out of Richmond, TX. It should be open in the next 20-30 days. Fingers crosses. Enough of the advertising...
I stand corrected. The Kits can be manipulated to make your own recipes. It is not like a K-Cup as I first thought. You can manipulate the ingredients and a few other things, but it still has a lot of limitations when it comes to making some specialty brews. Your not going to see someone making a Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA knock off.
I hope it start to bring more interest to the Craft Beer Community.

I'm sure a lot of people will buy and use these. I will not be one of them. It really takes the fun and "Craft" out of Craft Beer.

So long as the gain in time is used well. Like drinking more beer!

I don't think you can experiment with it. You put the prepackaged box in and then turn it on.

SGT Cody Skinner - I bet you could... Even extract kits (I'm a homebrewer) offer a level of experimenting. I've made meatballs in a breadmaker once out of boredom to see what would happen. Confident there's a VET out there who can think of some clever things!
