As respectfully as possible, I think almost every group in the military has dismal training records in some way or other.
At least for the Army, there is literally more mandatory training required than there are days in the year. Well established for at least the entire GWOT, running on...wow, it really has been 15 years. The bulk of which is obviously never done, because there is -literally- not enough time.
Can any sailors speak to the current efficiency and usefulness of this missed mandatory training? Is this true job preparation, or another check-the-block course to scapegoat?
