I've been a fairly devout feminist my entire life, and have always believed that women could do absolutely any job that men could, every bit as well. Obviously I applauded recent changes that opened up combat arms MOSs to women.
Here's proof that even in the age of broadswords and metal armor women could and did fight, and even lead troops in battle.

I know very well that women are very capable, and have said, believed and acted on that for my entire life.
It was a woman officer (who unfortunately got forced out of the military due to DADT) who was my first mentor as I received my commission, and among my current group of senior officer and NCO mentors, the split is roughly 50/50 between men and women.
Like you, I have conquered and accomplished much in my life, and I owe most of the credit to my very strong, intelligent and capable wife who supported me.
While I absolutely believe in equality, I also believe in general traits (and of course exceptions to those traits). In general, men have more upper body strength, and women tend to be better at reading people (empathy). Of course there are many women out there with incredible upper body strength, and many men out there who are very empathetic.
