Well it wasn't the worst hurricane in history like the MSM was suggesting. And it was a CAT 2 by the time the eye exited Florida.

Cpl (Join to see) It is all relative. When you are getting hit with it, it sucks anyway you slice it. Yesterday morning, the eye was just southwest of Naples, and the outer bands were hitting Charleston. Almost 600 miles from the eye to the outer edge of the area affected by the storm.

The hoax portion of that statement is actually, "irma is the worst storm ever recorded." And according to thinkprogress, it was "more treacherous than Andrew" which was a cat 5 when it hit the FL coast. Irma was bouncing from 3 to 4 back to 3 then down to a tropical storm as it entered GA. Yes, a lot of rain, a lot of wind and lots of storm surge, but the most treacherous is a huge exaggeration and minimizes the destruction/casualties of Andrew.

Here is what accuweather has to say:
- “Irma is about twice as big as Andrew,” AccuWeather Hurricane Expert Dan Kottlowski said.
Not a "hoax". As usual, Limbaugh is full of ...it.

How does monster Hurricane Irma compare to Andrew?
Irma’s massive size and its exact track compared to Andrew has major implications on winds and storm surge.
