The officer in question was also a paramedic and should have known better. As an EMT I know to do whats right for the patient and to do whats legal.

SrA Alvin Cook - Exactly. Payne displayed ignorance (at least) in both his professional knowledge as an LEO, and as a trained phlebotomist. He failed to know the SCOTUS finding as it related to both professions.

MAJ (Join to see) Outstanding, I Later Found Out that the Victim that the Officer wanted to Draw Blood From was a Reserve Officer from another Jurisdiction. That Jurisdiction Commended the Nurse for Her Actions in Support of Their Officer.

This is dumb. Even if the driver died they could still have taken his blood after a warrant was obtained. I don't care if he is the Sheriffs cousin.
