App Subscriptions Are a Good Thing

I am not opposed to the idea of things like Office being a subscription, so long as they include software assurance, updates, upgrades etc... I also like subscription versus purchase for software that I need for a specific time frame. Better to subscribe and cancel after it is no longer needed than buy a piece of software for a one time project. Thoughts?
