Would that be the same NY AG that has been after Trump for years. What a set up, at our expense.

Same guy. He's been in office since 2010 and was reelected in 2014. He is persistent and has been especially so with Trump. I believe his term expires 12/31/17 but there are no term limits. https://ag.ny.gov/

No idea. I've said many times that this may just end up with a lot of process crimes for people associated with Pres. Trump. FWIW Manafort has a lot of history with some bad actors besides Russia. He has worked on altering election outcomes in Europe. They may go for money laundering, perjury, and similar offenses for others, but have a very high bar to link anything related to the election to Trump. They may find some things with his finances as well that are not related to the election, but you can't indict on hunches or gut feelings. We keep hearing about obstruction, emoluments, campaign finance and the rest but since we have no idea what they know it's only speculation on whether anything will stick. One thing is obvious - that they are trying to do everything possible to oust him. I just want it wrapped up so we can move on, but it will likely involve the courts, executive privilege and more, so it could drag on for some time. There are so many things that need to get done - taxes, infrastructure, healthcare, jobs and the economy, and this distraction is stalling everything. Unfortunately we can't just "wish" it away.

I agree with the Arpaio pardon. Not because I think he was wronged per se, because he did violate the court order. However, I think the court order was politically motivated.

The law gives POTUS has the power to pardon folks. Trump's pardon was far better than the 1000's of pardons that other presidents have given to criminals. So in my mind, the Arpaio pardon was small potatoes.

I just wish that presidents would be a little more judicious in handing out pardons in general.
