Seemed more like a critique of US media in general to me, with emphasis on the injustices and bias in reporting, but I never figured out exactly what he was trying to say. Maybe it was that white people are not getting a fair deal with the media and are on the defensive. I noted that he was unemployed and had about 30 years experience in print media, so maybe he's become cynical toward the profession in general.
