Military Education Benefits and Financial Aid
Many students have questions about the military education benefits they may have earned through their service or if they can use these benefits at Kaplan University, and we’re here to help. From military tuition assistance to military spouse education benefits, this is where you can learn about options available to servicemembers (including guard and reserve units), veterans, and military spouses.

Obtaining information on the Montgomery GI Bill and the Post-9/11 GI Bill
Understanding how military tuition assistance programs work
Reviewing tuition costs and how these compare to military education benefits
Applying for military benefits
Exploring other financial aid options if you are not eligible for or are not using military benefits
Explore resources provided by Executive Order 13607: Military Undergraduate Shopping Sheet and Additional Resources for Military Students.
Often military and veteran students have undergone prior learning which could count toward shortening their path to a degree. We recognize the value of military training and work experience, and offer college-level credit for ACE-evaluated military training and CLEP and DANTES examinations.*
Prior Learning
Kaplan University will allow a maximum of 75% of the credits for our undergraduate online degrees to be earned through a combination of experiential learning, transfer credit, and credit by examination.* A minimum of 25% of credits must be taken at Kaplan University.
Kaplan University is also sponsoring and participating in the Army Ten-Miler race and AUSA Annual Meeting in Washington DC in October 2017.
