Good grief. I suspect you didn't bother to actually read the article based on your comments. The article was actually a look at how our country even today remains relatively segregated, and walks through many historical decsions made that contributed to this. The path of the eclipse was simply a vehicle to take the discussion across the country. Anyone reading and comprehending the article would immediately realize what the article was about. But some right wing site creating a clickbait headline to get other rightwingers to click knowing they won't actually bother to read the source article and so won't actually understand the article.
