yup. and I suspect his is just the first head to roll. He was a convenient scapegoat, since his retirement was imminent anyway, and his relief had already been confirmed. The bigger question is will the Surface Boss get fired as well? Given what I've heard from all over the fleet, it's a real soup sandwich right now, and we are basically just waiting for more tragedies, unless things really change, and fast!

I think all 4 of the recent accidents have happened in his fleet. Something going on with training or OPTEMPO. A little unusual to see someone so high get sacked, but I think this is a signal as to how importantly the Navy is going to be looking into this.... Don't worry, though, I am sure we will see him as a commentator on TV soon...
